He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Vessey and Dorothy Vessey. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Vessey; his children, Chris (Bev MacLean) and Sherri Vessey; his stepdaughters, Lorretta Wooley (Mike Perry) and Colleen Ivey (MikeDoiron) of Moncton, NB; his siblings, Florence Bryenton (Bobby) of Charlottetown, PEI, Dorothy (Eric Groleau) of Shawinigan, QC and Dwight Vessey (Joan MacKinnon) of Charlottetown, PEI; his grandchildren, Garrett Vessey (Paige Felker), Logan Vessey (Charley) and Kayla Hartley (Ron); his great grandchildren, Ethan Vessey, Dawson, Porter MacLean, Jasper and Harrison Hartley; and his grandchildren, Paija, Teagan and Maleck Doiron.
