He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Carey and Mary Elizabeth Archibald West; his wife Peggy (Sellers); his daughter Beth Sparks; and his siblings, Margaret Lutes (Omer) and Jim West (Norma).

He is survived by: his children, Mary Oldford of Grand Falls, NF, Graham West (Andrea) of Moncton, NB, John West (Darlene) of Oliver, BC, Gloria Graham (Steve) of Chester Basin, NS and Andrew West (Ellen) of Truro, NS; his son-in-law Ron Sparks of Riverview, NB.; his grandchildren, Jeff Sparks (Suzanne) of Riverview, NB, Joann Mallett (Steve), Michael Sparks (Lorraine Hughes), David Sparks (Kurt Bird), Will Oldford (Dawn), Beth Oldford (Paula Alcaideleon), Amy Hart (Jeremy), Saint, Stephanie West (Devan Carruthers), Denise West (Jimmy Gallant), Scott Graham (Chermaine Clarke), Lori Graham, Sarah Waters (Andrew), Queen Charlotte and Andy West (Rebecca); and his great grandchildren, Josee, Philip Sparks, Jacob, Samuel Mallett, William, Jenna, Philip Oldford, Myles Gallant, Sam, Simon, Levi Hart, Diego Oldford, Luna Abbott, Ethan and Marcus Waters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and Peggy's extended family.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a funeral service will be announced and held at a later date.
