He was predeceased by: his father Hugh Wilson; his wife Cecile Wilson (McCarthy); his siblings, Norma Leaman and Hugh Wilson Jr.; and his grandson Trevor.

He is survived by: his mother Freda Wilson (Geldart); his stepdaughter Gerry Hennebury (Gerard); his grandsons, Justin and Evan (Beth Baird); and his great grandchildren, Ryan and Alexis Aside.
