She was predeceased by: her parents, James Donald and Florence Thurston (Perry); her son John; and her siblings, Gertrude and Donald.

She is survived by: her husband Gordon; her son James Maughan (Heather) of Rothesay; her sister Marjorie Landers of Sanford, NS; her grandchildren, Melissa Maughan and Carter Maughan (Heather); and her great grandchildren, Madison, Ava and Elijah. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
