She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Edith Keiller Saunders of Croyden and Adolphus Saunders of Brockton; her husband Jim; and her stepchildren, Jim, Robert, Mary-Jean and Judith. She was also cherished by children and sponsors over 40 children.
