He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Doncaster and Pauline Doncaster (Lawrence); his wife Edith; and his siblings, Robert "Bud", Donald, Fred and Anna Mason.

He is survived by: his children, David, Donnie (Yvette), Kenny (Patricia) of Lloydminster, AB, Ian of Sackville, NB and Susan (Norm); his grandchildren, Matthew, Shaun Partridge, Lacey Scoggins, Tessa Snook, Landon Long, Tyler and Makayla Doncaster; his great grandchildren, Willow, Clara Scoggins and River Snook; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Cormier of Halifax, NS..
