Hugh Russell Smith Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 19, 2024, at the age of 83, Hugh Russell Smith (Sackville, New Brunswick), born in Point de Bute, New Brunswick passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Gerald James Smith and Jessie Sarah (Russell); and his brothers, Hudson Smith (Carolyn Smith) and Byron Smith. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Smith (Sears); his children, Randy Smith, Crystal Smith and Jason Smith (Joanne); his siblings, Rodney Smith (Dorothy), Sheilah Ward (Austin), Melbourne Smith (Wendy), Ralph Smith (Joan), Allan Smith (Debbie) and Colin Smith; his grandchildren, Candace, Joseph (Karen), Justin and Julie; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt and Aubree. He is also survived by his many cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as by his extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hugh may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation, CHU Dumont Foundation (specify The Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre) or to the charity of one's choice.
