He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph and Annie MacMaster (MacEachern); and his wife Catherine Cloney. He is survived by: his brothers, Mike (Laura), Hugh and Leroy (Darlene); his stepchildren, Kelley Macdonald, Kevin Purdy (Margaret Pomeroy) and Kirk Purdy; and his stepgrandchildren, Jeff Macdonald (Tasha) and Sara (Eric Rose).
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium (5075 Main St, Oxford, NS B0M1P0). A memorial service was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
