It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Lucinda McCarthy (Sackville, New Brunswick), born in Dorchester Cape, New Brunswick, who passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ida May Read (Buck) and John A. Read; her husband James "Brud" McCarthy; her sons, Larry McCarthy and Brian McCarthy; her siblings, Ella Sears, Barb O'Neal, Gertrude Wilson and Ronald Read; her sister-in-law Joan Allen; and her stepbrother John Read Jr. (Buddy).
She is survived by : her children, Shelley Steeves and Gary McCarthy; her sister-in-law Gail Archibald (George); and her stepsisters, Bonnie Blanchard (Roger), Cheryl Read and Sue (Ian). She is also survived by her extended family and friends.
