She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Brunis Hicks and Shirley Jean (Hicks); and her granddaughter Marlie Jean Curwin. She is survived by: her husband Gary Lee Curwin; her children, Kellie Curwin, Erin Curwin, Tammy MacDougal (Mike), Jaden and Ryan Fitzherbert; her brother Kevin Hicks; her sister-in-law Linda Coates (Allan); and her sibling's children, Carrie Harris (Chris) and Jeff Coates (Twila).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Veva may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, IWK Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House or to the charity of one's choice.
