He was predeceased by : his father Norman Carl Hicks of Midgic, NB.; his grandparents, Titus, Revolia Hicks (Phinney) and Hilda Sterling; and his mother-in-law Grace Lee (Hoeg).

He is survived by : his mother Marilyn Stokes (Hicks); his wife Kim; his sons, Matthew (Maxine), Brandon (Lee), Nathan (Laura) and Lucas (Sorcha); his grandchildren, Malik, Raya, Sadie, Beatrix, Hudson and Fern; his stepfather John Stokes; and his siblings, Donnie (Angela), Maurice (Tracey), Barry and Diane (Murray). He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
