He was predeceased by: his parents, William St-Amand and Marie-Anne St-Amand (Poitras); and his brothers, Edmond, Edgar, Onil and Arthur.

He is survived by: his siblings, Jeanne St-Amand Clark and Sam St-Amand of Connecticut; his uncle Alyre; and his aunt Gisèle Poitras. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

“i had meet george many years ago through an old friend of mine, and we had become good friends over the years. he loved his coffee and to smoke his winston cigs. he had a blue chevy pickup it wasn't a very fast truck, but it got you were you needed to go, he would collect cans all of the time and he made a decent amount of cash from it, we were working at a window shop working together on windows and doing vinal and cladding as well, he was a real honest guy. who always gave it to you straight. he also knew how to work with wood there wasn't anything that he didn't know how to make wood come to life. he would tell me stories about his younger days about being on a farm and how he would have a lot of fun as a kid. over the years i had always thought of george and wondered how he was doing. now i know that he has gone on to hiw reward to be with the good lord and he is at peace. thank you george my friend for teaching me how to do things with wood back in the day. i will always cherish thoese awesome days that i got to know a real down to earth guy like your self, who took someone like me under there wing a guided him to be ale to do more with there hands and a nail gun. angelo hawley. bristol ct 6/29/25”
