He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Laforge and Bernadette Laforge (St-Amand); and his siblings, Velma, Candide (late Jack O'Rourke), Norma Albert (late Yvon), Hermel (late Murielle Bastarache), Raymond (late Lise Walker), Guy (Ginette) and Roland.

He is survived by: his wife Fernande Martin; his children, Marcel (Jo-Anne Flawn) of Russell, Carole Laforge (François Massé) of Ottawa, Paul (Kristy Wirstiuk) of Edmonton and Louis (Kristina Pille) of Ottawa; his siblings, Odette Mackie (Richard) of Quispamsis, Yolande Bourassa (late Eugene) of Methuen, Marise Laforge (Linda Ouellette) of Drummond, Gilles of Montréal and Yvon (Judy) of Edmonton; and his siblings-in-law, Ginette Laforge (late Guy) and Bruce Brightman (late Velma). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three sisters.
