She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrice Blanchard and Mélanie Blanchard (Daigle); her extended family Vincent; her husband Laurie Richard of Saint-Charles; and her siblings, Téodore, Lionel, René, Albert, Norbert, Gaspard, Léola, Catherine, Lucille and Yvonne.
She is survived by: her children, Sandi Brown (Brian) of Calgary, AB, Robert Richard (Denise) of Black River, Steven Richard (Nancy) of Dieppe and Daniel Richard (late Tamela) of Saint-Charles; her grandchildren, Erika Clancy (Brendan) of Quispamsis, Katia Arsenault (Julien) of Fort McMurray, Valéri Richard of Dieppe, Maxim Richard (Eulalie King) of Notre-Dame, Gabrielle Brown of Calgary and Aie Brown of Calgary; her great grandchildren, William, Emma, Harrison and Henley; her sisters, Marie-Anne (late Adelin LeBlanc) of Saint John, NB and Roseline (Tim Guimond) of Richibucto; and her extended family, Denise, Yvonne, Leona and Patrick. She is also survived by many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, February 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Thompson Funeral Home (33 Rue Acadie, Richibouctou, NB E4H2R6). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saint-Charles-Borromée Roman Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made in Adélia's memory to Maison Albert House, (Hospice – Southeast NB), where Adélia spent her final two weeks and received exceptional and compassionate care from the staff and volunteers.
