He was predeceased by: his parents, Prudent Richard and Zelia Richard (Chevarie); his granddaughter Joëlle Richard; and his siblings, Gemma, Lorraine, Germaine, Adrien, Jean-Paul and Alphonse.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Louise Richard (Thebeau) of St. Louis; his children, Janice Richard (Mark) of St. Louis, Monique Vautour (Lin) of St. Ignace, Francine Doucette (Marcel) of Rogersville, Noëlla Costain (Ken) of Benton, NB and Maurice Richard (Natalie) of St. Ignace; his siblings, Yvonne LeBlanc (late Adolphe) of St. Louis, Eliza Comeau (late Eric) of St. Louis, Julianna Johnson (Vincent) of St. Louis, Maria Richard (late Gerard) of St. Ignace, Rose Gallant (Louis Marcoux) of St. Ignace, Laurie Richard (Lucie) of Moncton and Claude Richard Irishtown (Marie-Laure); and his sisters-in-law, Alma Richard of Aldouane and Yvonne Richard of St. Louis. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
