He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Gallant and Exilda Gallant (Richard); and his siblings, Alban, Paul, Antoinette and Idora.

He is survived by: his wife Madeleine; his children, Ricky (Jill), Janice (André), Joanne and Robert (Caroline); his siblings, Aldéric (Camilla), Eusèbe, Delphin (Roberte), Maurice (Simonne), Yolande (Camille), Madeleine (late Euclide), Sylvia (Sterling), Jeannette (Normand), Juliette and Rosa; his grandchildren, Alain, Mélanie and Kevin; his great grandchildren, Miguel and Janelle; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald and Julia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
