The family announces the passing of Amelia Legere (Saint John, New Brunswick) on October 1, 2026. Amelia, born on May 21, 1939, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Tobias and Amelia Tobias (Stephen); her husband Edmund "Ned" Legere; her daughter Therese Legere; and her siblings, Raymond, Harold, Michael, Roy, Theresa Quinn, Genevive O'Brien, Celenie Tobias and Moonie Tobias.
She is survived by: her children, Edmund Legere (Kelly) and Michelle Legere (Tim); her grandchildren, Ryan, Shamus, Jordan, Alexander and Zachary; her great grandchildren, Chanel, Evalyn, Khloe, Juliet, Harper and Hunter; and her siblings-in-law, Kay Williams, Elizabeth Reid (Paul), Michael and Paul Leger. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fundy Home Home (Fundy Chapel) (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Stella Maris Catholic Church (201 Bayside Dr, Saint John, NB E2J1A5).
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
