He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank L. Keating and Edna Keating (Byers); his child Dale Frances MacPhail (Keating); his siblings, Bernice Conley (Keating), Donald and Robert Keating; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Keating, Fred Howland, Clarence Green and Jim Collings.

He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Keating (Howland); his siblings, Jack Keating (Thelma) of Saint John, Allen Keating of Saint John, Ronald Keating (Dawn) of Saint John, Doris Green of Saint John, Gloria Collings of Saint John and Lorraine Taylor (Bill) of Saint John; his granddaughters, Karla Leonard (Scott) of Montana, USA and Jennifer Herrington (Jeremy) of Quispamsis; his great grandchildren, Blake Leonard of Montana, USA, Brianne and Brayden Herrington of Quispamsis; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Howland of Quispamsis and Ardie Mae English (Bill) of Saint John. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
