With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara J. Smith (Saint John, New Brunswick), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald F. Mersereau and Joyce E. Mersereau (Gillis) of Moncton, NB.; and her brother Donald (Anna). She is survived by: her husband Alan; her daughters, Natalie Roberts (Kimberly Rolfe) of Rothesay and Angela Smith (Mario Ostiguy) of Quispamsis; her grandchildren, Alison, Aeryona, Noah and Brooklyn; her great grandchild Memphis; and her sisters, Beverley Atkinson (Larry) of Shediac Bridge, Brenda Geneau of Moncton and Michele King (Stephen) of Codys, NB. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home (152 Pettingill Rd, Quispamsis, NB E2E3S6). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
