She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Jimmy" and Phoebe "Jean"; her husband Eyre "Dirk" Medford; her siblings, Doug and Francis (Kenny); her sister-in-law Betty (Albert); her son-in-law Gary (Wendy); her grandson David; and her great great grandchild Dawson.

She is survived by: her children, Bruce (Diane), Wendy, James (Claudia), Darlene "Letha" (Eric) and Vivian Lee; her grandchildren, Pheobe, Daniel, Troy, Allan, Erika, Vanessa, Sean, Samantha, Lynzie, Sarah, Conrad, Peter and Madison; her stepgrandchildren, Sandy and Melissa; her siblings, Albert, Raymond (Gail), Wayne (Ruth) and Sarah (Peter); Kelly (Hank). She is also survived by 7 great-great grandchildren.
