She was predeceased by: her parents, George Barr (Ted) and Etta Barr (Boyd); her husband James Heighton; and her siblings, Shirley Green, Marilyn Barr, Paul Barr and Randy Barr.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Bockus (Walter) of St. Stephen, NB, Mary Beth Heighton of Saint John, NB, Krisan Palmer (Terry) of Saint John, NB and Marilyn Heighton (Brad Worden) of Kingston, NB; her grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jamie Bockus, Jack and Caroline Fitzpatrick; and her sister Joan Cannon (Buck) of Dartmouth, NS. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
