He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter and Nancy; and his father-in-law Paul Russell. He is survived by: his wife Amanda; his children, Alexander and Megan; his pet Pugsley; his parents-in-law, Cheryl Davis and Donnie McCue; his siblings, Stephen and Paula; and also, Mark Russell (Jill) and Stephen Fairbrother (Alicia). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
