David Menzie McCavour Obituary

The passing of David Menzie McCavour (Saint John, New Brunswick) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 24, 2025 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil McCavour and Elsie McCavour (Green); his wife Rhena McCavour (Maguire); and his brother Enos Cecil McCavour (Patricia). He is survived by: his children, Kenneth McCavour (Karen) of Lorneville, James McCavour (Candice) of Musquash and Cindy McCavour (Ed Healy) of Ottawa; his siblings, Philip McCavour (Judith) of Saint John and Jane Ruga (McCavour) of New Jersey, USA; his grandchildren, Zachery, JamieLynn, Cecil, Alexandra and Bronson; and his great grandchildren, Sloan, Penelope, Ivy, Theodore, Rhena and Isla. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Castle Funeral Home (309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M2L3). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Castle "fallsview" Chapel (309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M2L3). A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:30 PM at the Lorneville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lorneville Cemetery or Bobby's Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
