He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen M. Patterson (Forsythe); his parents, William Alexander Patterson and Margaret Patterson (Myatt); and his siblings, Gladys Pettipas, Marian Duggan, Leonard, Raymond, Cyril and Thomas.
He is survived by: his brother Murdoch. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
