He was predeceased by: his parents, Duncan McKenzie Wathen and Doris Elizabeth Wathen; and his siblings, Donald, Duncan and Darcia.
He is survived by: his sisters, Diane Wathen of Cambridge, MA and Doris Dale Grossen (Kurt); his sister-in-law Flo Wathen; his cousins, Ellen Wathen (Peter) and Burton Wathen (Jane); and his nieces and nephews, Shannan O'Neill (Mike), Earl Wathen (Suzanne), Florence Wathen (Steve) and Dawn Wathen (Doug).
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Fernhill Cemetery (200 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2E7).
