She was predeceased by: her father Earl Shepherd; and her stepfather William Donaldson. She is survived by: her mother Jean Shepherd (Ernie); her partner Chris Stout; her children, Josh Bowling (Trena), Christopher Bowling and Mallory Bowling; her stepchildren, Krisanne Bishop (Tom), Jennie Stout and Kevin Stout (Carly); her brothers, Stanley Shepherd (Jennifer) and Todd Shepherd (Trisha); her stepsiblings, Jennifer Richard (Simon) and Jeff Donalson; her grandchildren, Chase, Carson, Kendall, Matthew, Logan, Harper, James, Finn, Noura, Nave and Nina; her siblings' children, Sarah, Mary, Cassidy, Katie, Kelsie, Kalie, Nicholas, Owen and Brendan; and her caregiver Dawn.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Castle Fallsview Funeral Home (309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M2L3). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Castle "fallsview" Chapel (309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M2L3).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dawn's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
