He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Steeves and Ola Steeves (Beaumont); his sisters, Evelyn and Mary Nelson (Elmo); his nieces and nephews, Lyn, Lorne Nelson and Gladys Jacobson (Bob); and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Snider (Lornette), Glendine Snider and Lois Snider.

He is survived by: his wife Thelma (Snider); his children, Kathleen "Kathy" Nutford (John) and Michael (Bernadine); his grandchildren, Rachel "Lilly" Nutford (Scott), Leigh-Ann Fenton (Logan), Stephen Nutford (Jessica), Julianne Steeves (Joel) and Evan Steeves (Alex); his great grandchildren, Kari Nutford, Marylynn and Cameron Fenton; his niece Gaye Kurtz of Saskatchewan; and his brothers-in-law, Bernard Snider and Vaughn Snider of Hillsborough.
