She was predeceased by: her parents, Jean Clara Foote (Miner) and Donald Leister Foote; and her brothers, Dale, Gary and Terry Foote.
She is survived by: her sisters, Ruby Anderson (John), Janice Cleveland and Charlene Jordan (Ted); her children, Jill Smit, Julia Mawer (Doug), Jon Smit (Lydia), Jacquelyn Petersen and Janika Smit (Mike Mahar); her grandchildren, Emily and Sam Esmailion; and her children, Kalen (Brian), Micah Mawer, Daniel, Sarah, Joyo Smit, Keesje, Kiley Petersen, Jaxon Smit and Mikey Mahar.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fundy Funeral Home (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society and the Parkinson's Society of Canada, Saint John Chapter.
