She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Jennie Melanson and Ernest Doucette; her husband John Wells; her stepfather Michael Melanson; her brother Eddie Doucette; her grandson Easton Smith; her sister-in-law Carol Doucette; her godparents, Jake and Lizzy Davis; and her cousin Cyndi Campbell.

She is survived by: her children, Shelley Gowlett (John) of Bloomfield and J. R. Smith of Saint John; her grandchildren, Cheyenne Forgrave-Gowlett of Bloomfield, Jakob Watson of Alberta, Jordan Smith of Fredericton, Parker Richard of Sussex, Catherine Knodell of Saint John, Sebastien Godin of Saint John, Khloe Godin of Saint John, Addison Smith of Saint John, Oakley Smith of Saint John, Willow Smith of Saint John and Monica Bell of Saint John; her great grandchild Ava Garland of Saint John; her siblings, Ernie Doucette (Susan) of Quispamsis, David Doucette (Veronica) of Saint John, Gail Melanson of Saint John, Joan Doucette of Saint John, Ann Cox of Quispamsis and Shirley Doucette of Ontario; her aunt Shirley McKiver; and her uncle Gordie Campbell (June) of Saint John. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
