Doreen Elizabeth Lingley Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doreen Elizabeth Lingley (Saint John, New Brunswick), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 20, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward and Edith Shannon (McDevitt); her husband John Jerrold Douglas (Jerry); her siblings, Mary, Leena, Pauline, Francis, William, Theresa, Greg, John, Patrick and Shirley; and her grandson Brandon Vail.

She is survived by: her children, Theresa MacDonald (Jack), Warren Lingley (Serena) and Dwayne Lingley (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Jonas McCarthy, Daniel McCarthy, Alex Fortune, Melody Vail, Vanessa Vail, Iesha Chiasson and Tyra Holt; and her brothers, George Shannon and Charlie Shannon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations in Doreen's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
