She was predeceased by: her parents, George Strang and Stella Strang (Gallagher); her husband William James Gillen; her siblings, George Strang Jr., Vernon Strang, Phyllis Kindred (Strang), Evelyn Kindred (Strang) and Donald Strang; and her son-in-law Fred Rourke.

She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Davidson (Peter) of Sussex, NB, Angela Millett (David) of Saint John, NB, Sherrie Rourke (Stephen Lohnes) of Hampton, NB and Denise McLaughlin (Patrick) of Saint John, NB; her grandchildren, Shaunna McLaughlin (Jon Floyd), Tara Davidson (Rick Louw), Scott Davidson, Nicholas Rourke (Sarah), Lindsay Legere (Jamie), Mitchell Rourke (Morgan), Steven McLaughlin (Stephanie), Cody Millett (Jillisa) and Shannon Ramsay (Dylan); and her great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Bryce, Will, Violet, Quinn, Maddison and Peri. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Widowed much too soon, she raised, on her own, four daughters and provided us with a strong foundation to build our productive lives.
