She was predeceased by: her parents, Archibald Speight and Hazel Speight (Short Nelson); her husband John "Jack" Phillips; her son John; her siblings, Melbourne Speight, Jean McMahon, Mary Smith, Helen Flewelling and Phyllis Speight; her grandchildren, Tashia Boyce, Douglas Phillips and David Scott Phillips; and her daughter-in-law Carol.
She is survived by: her children, David, Terry (Brenda), Kim (Carmel), Douglas (Bonnie), Stephen (Gabriella) and Cathy; her daughter-in-law Helen; her brother Joseph Speight (Joan); and her grandchildren, Wayne Phillips, Krystal Phillips, Drake Phillips, John Wesley Phillips, Jaclyn Phillips, Jessica Marie, Stephen Phillips and John Sutton. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current pandemic and public health restrictions, seating is limited.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Dialysis Unit at the SJRH.
