Douglas Finlay Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 4, 2026, at the age of 91, Douglas Finlay (Saint John, New Brunswick) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Finlay and Elizabeth "Bessie" Finlay (Winchester); his wife Evelyn; and his siblings, William "Bill" Finlay and Louise Connell.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Finlay, Peter Finlay and John Finlay (Polly); his sisters, Betty Sahagian and Anna Pettifer; and his grandchildren, Ashlee (Ramsay), Ness (David), Matthew Ramsay, Lindsay (Ramsay), Ferris (Ryan), Alex Finlay, Kendra Finlay and Brennen Finlay. He is also survived by his extended family, including in-laws, as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 8:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fundy Chapel (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3).
