He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold William and Esther Lucretia Smith (Corey); his daughter Colleen Esther; his great grandchildren, Aaron James Cavicchi and Bettie Mae Underwood; his son Thomas Wayne Smith; and his stepdaughter Cheryl Yeomans.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Brenda Smith; his son Allan Robert Smith; his daughter-in-law Lori Rae Smith; his daughter Nancy Louise Underwood; his son-in-law Jonathan Underwood; his stepdaughter Wendy; his stepson-in-law Danny Burrill; his stepson Tim; his stepdaughter-in-law Crystal Yeomans; his sisters, Alice Jean Smith and Carolyn Ann Rempel; and his siblings-in-law, Neil Rempel, Joyce Salmon, Annabel Henderson, Nancy Brennan and Roland King. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, as well as 4 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fundamental Baptist Church (1170 Sand Cove Rd, Saint John, NB E2M0G3). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
