She was predeceased by: her husband Maurice Steele; her parents, Leaman Hennessy and Olive Hennessy (Osborne); her son John; her siblings, John Hennessy and Roberta Gilchrist; and her sons-in-law, Johnny Brookins and Donald Jones.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Lavoy (George), Cheryl Steele, Gwenda Holland (Donald) and Dawn Brookins. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fundy Home Home (Fundy Chapel) (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fundy Chapel (55 St Clair Ave W Suite 500, Toronto, ON M4V2Y7). A burial was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at the Mosher Hill Cemetery.
