She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Steele; her parents, William Thompson and Mildred Thompson (Beatty); and her siblings, Ada, Mern, Theodore, Art and Murray.

She is survived by: her children, Kevin Steele (Joan) and Debbie Steele; her grandchildren, Vicky Jo Porter (Jeff), Jeff Steele (Ashley) and Jared Steele (Emily); her great grandchildren, Ledger, Tucker, Jaxon, Nash and Aidan; and her siblings, Carol Dallon, Norma Dunn and Roy Thompson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
