He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hughes and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hughes (Burgoine); and his children, Mary Ellen (Edward Dupuis), Andrew "Andy" (Carol), Philip and Eric (Belinda).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean (Roberts); his grandchildren, Kristofor, Shelby, Jeremy, Emily, Nicola, Seth and Samantha; and his great grandchildren, Adam and Oaklynn.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society, Mill Cove Nursing Home, or the Saint John High School Alumni Fund would be appreciated by the family.
