He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hughes and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hughes (Burgoine); and his children, Mary Ellen (Edward Dupuis), Andrew "Andy" (Carol), Philip and Eric (Belinda).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean (Roberts); his grandchildren, Kristofor, Shelby, Jeremy, Emily, Nicola, Seth and Samantha; and his great grandchildren, Adam and Oaklynn.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fundy Home Home (Fundy Chapel) (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fundy Chapel (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society, Mill Cove Nursing Home, or the Saint John High School Alumni Fund would be appreciated by the family.
