He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Long and Eva Long (Darling); and his siblings, Florence Keirstead, Elva Morrell, Treva MacLeod, Shirley Somerville, Judy Kelly, Wib and Burt.

He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his grandchildren, Chris Ouellette (Heidi) of Toronto, Kendra Brown (Tim) of Quispamsis and Kalina Ouellette of St. Catharines; his great grandchild Jacob Brown; his siblings, Marion Frail (Ron) of Toronto, Bob (Louise) of Salt Springs and Raymond (Deby) of Saint John; and his siblings-in-law, Muriel Long, Mike Kelly and Gib Doucette (Shirley). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close friends.
