Francisco Gómez Astudillo Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Francisco Gómez Astudillo of Saint John, New Brunswick, who passed away on October 8, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Louise Holtved; his parents, Juan Francisco Gómez Rodriguez and Maria Cleofe Astudillo Cordero; and his siblings, Socrates Gómez Astudillo and Aurelio Gómez Astudillo.
He is survived by: his sister France; his son Francisco Gómez Holtved (Barbara Martin); his wife Pamela Parker; his daughters, Ana Gómez (Alex Baluta) and Sara Luisa Gómez (Stephen McAdams); his grandchildren, Sofia, Chloe, Maxime and Mercedes; his stepgrandchildren, Minnetta, Fiona and Delphine; his siblings, Rosemarie Venturi (Mario) and André Gómez (Brigitte); his siblings-in-law, Esther Gómez and Blackford Parker; and his cousin Spain. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In April 2006, on the centenary of the first National Congress of the JSE, he received an award honoring his contributions to the movement to restore democracy in Spain.
