He was predeceased by: his parents, James McCluskey and Catherine McCluskey (Comeau); and his siblings, Artie, Tommy, Davey, James and Violet.

He is survived by: his wife Janet McCluskey (Willis); his children, Frederick "Deek" McCluskey (Debbie) and Victoria McCluskey (Lenie) of Saint John; his siblings, Jack McCluskey (Julia), Paul McCluskey (Susie) of Saint John, Amy Smart (Ron), Lucy Richards of Saint John and Joanne Stone of Ontario; his grandsons, Bradley (Emily), Ryan (Hannah) and Marcus McCluskey (Allison); and his great grandchildren, Landen, Nolan and Lydia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
