George Barton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Barton (Saint John, New Brunswick), who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Barton and Agnus Barton (Starkey); his daughters, Mary Barton and Lori Ward (Rick); and his sister Gloria Orser.
He is survived by: his wife Fran Barton (Popple); his children, Linda Barton (Kim Beckett), Michele Tracey (Travis) and Joey Pitre (Della); his son-in-law Donnie Folkins; his grandchildren, Mike (Jessica), Stephen, Brittany (Allan), David (Dallon), Shanna (Matt), Casey (Andrew), Cody (Adrianna) and Savannah; and his sibling's children, Elaine Orser, Sharon Orser, Karen Orser and Brian Orser. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fundy Home Home (Fundy Chapel) (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Stella Maris Church (201 Bayside Dr, Saint John, NB E2J1A5). A burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at the Ocean View Memorial Gardens (715 Latimore Lk Rd, Saint John, NB E2N1X8).
