He is survived by: his children, Kevin Joseph Bourgeois (Sara) and Lea Mae Gautreau (Trevor); his siblings, Ivan Melanson (Grace), Donald Roy (Beth), Paul Roy (Jeannie), Alice Richard (Lucien), Joanne Roy (Neil), Anne Marie Fanning (Steve) and Janice Roy (Harry); his grandchildren, Cassie Elizabeth Gautreau, Carleigh Ellen Muriel Gautreau, Travis Perry, Michael O'Keefe, Sophia O'Keefe and Jameson McNeil (Addie Hachey); his daughter Tricia (Dan McNeil); and his close friend Eddy Egglefield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Castle Fallsview Funeral Home (309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M2L3). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Our Lady of Assumption Parish (360 Dufferin Row, Saint John, NB E2M2J8). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (1215 Sand Cove Rd, Saint John, NB E2M5V8).
In lieu of flowers donations in George's memory can be made to the IWK, Bobby's Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
