He is survived by: his wife Kathleen "Katie" Cotton; his children, Mike (Laura Scott), Greg, Krista, Kathy Purinton (Bev), Kim Spence (Don) and Terry Lee Martin (Frank); his grandchildren, Stephen Spence, Katelin Spence (Dima Leonov), Benn Purinton (Morgane), Julie Purinton (Michael), Elicia Martin (Armin), George Northrup (Jesse) and Jason Cotton (Crystal); his great grandchildren, Iver, Charlotte, Maverick, Nova, Lila and Avery; his siblings, Beth Paynter (Harry) of British Columbia and Alan Cotton; his sisters-in-law, Margie Jeffrey (Wayne), Rose Turple, Emily Leblanc and Mary Lavoie; his niece Cecila Turple (Russell Maillet); and his caregivers, Marjorie, Sonya, Carol, Evie, Doris and George.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fundy Funeral Home (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Forest Hills Baptist Church (36 Mountain Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3).
