He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bernard and Violet Nordstrom (Loeb); his son Gerald Bruce Nordstrom; his siblings, James "Bamie" Nordstrom, Winnie Hughes, Bernard "Sonny" Nordstrom and Barbara MacNeill; and his siblings-in-law, Douglas, Eddy, William Shephard, Scott Hughes, Alan McNeill, Margaret Nordstrom, Eleanor Hewey, Darlene Losier and Jean Colwell (Mike).
He is survived by: his significant other Mary Marilyn Nordstrom (Shephard); his children, Shelley Nordstrom of Halifax, NS, Diane (Tim), Morgan (Central Greenwich), Lisa (Rodney), Knox (Lorneville) and Derek Nordstrom (Saint John); his grandchildren, Matthew, Lexi Morgan, Kirklund, Erin, Lauren Nordstrom, Jeffrey and Brett Knox; his siblings-in-law, Rosanne, Barbara Shephard, Yvonne Nordstrom and Mackie Hewey; and his niece Heidi Hauptstein. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Syl's memory may be made to Kennebec Manor (Milledgeville) or to a charity of the donor's choice.
