He was predeceased by: his parents, William Tait and Mildred Tait (Simms); and his brothers, Harold Tait, Ronald Tait and William Tait.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth McLellan; his children, Gerald Tait Jr. (Darlene), Paul Tait (Lise) and Susan Foldi (Stephen); his brother Glen Tait (Dawn); and his sister-in-law Betty Joan Tait. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; as well as by several nieces and nephews and good friends.
