It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glen MacDonald formerly of Saint John, New Brunswick, who passed away on March 1, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roderick Churchill Macdonald and Barbara Macdonald (Stackhouse); his wife Lois (Rising); his siblings, Barbara Likely and David Macdonald of Riverview; his children, Jane Stewart (Jim) of Rothesay, Cindy Dobbelsteyn (David) of Halifax, Alan Macdonald (Linda) of Rothesay and Dr. Robert Macdonald (Monica) of Spartanburg, SC; and his grandchildren, Mahri Machado (Danny), Maggie Stewart, Cameron Stewart (Michelle Knorr), Ryan Macdonald (Erin), Lindsay Stewart, Erin Dobbelsteyn (Josh Tuttle) and Greg Dobbelsteyn (Jacquie McNulty). He was also cherished by five great grandchildren.
Glen loved to play cards – he played poker with his buddies at Parr Town; cribbage with family and friends and bridge until COVID restrictions prevented such gatherings.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Glen's memory to Bobby's Hospice, the Alzheimer's Society, St. Paul's Church, Rothesay, or a charity of your choice.
