He was predeceased by : his wife Melvina (Brooks); his siblings, Stanley MacKenzie, Teresa Dibble, Blake MacKenzie, Donald MacKenzie, Wayne Brooks and Neil Brooks; and his great grandchild Brinley Shonaman.

He is survived by : his children, Kathy Moore (Brian), Dawn Marie (Richard), Juanita Lockhart (Robert), Cathy Leblanc, Ronald MacKenzie, Phillip MacKenzie (Annie), Jeff (Amanda), Ronnie Brooks and Brian Brooks; his grandchildren, Trevor, Bradley, Tulisa, Natasha, Donna, Kevin, Michael, Kyle, Jordan (Jenn), Hannah (Aaron), Calyssa, Ashley, Rebecca, Julie, Cody, Emma, Madison, Hunter, Andrew, Roland, Randy, Keith, Kayla, Gordie, Kristal, Robin, Ben and Heather; and his siblings, Dougie MacKenzie, Donna Brown and Bessie Green (Art).
