Gordon Melvin Downey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 25, 2022, at the age of 92, Gordon Melvin Downey (Saint John, New Brunswick) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Estes and Gordon; his wife Eleanor Downey (Dean); his son Wesley Downey; his brother Lloyd Downey; and his brother-in-law Ralph Maguire.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Stevens (Roy), Daniel Downey and Mark Downey; his sisters, Barbara Maguire and Carol Roach (William); and his granddaughters, Bethany and Julie Stevens (Shayne). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations in Gordon's memory can be made to Bobby's Hospice, Lorneville Cemetery, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor's choice.
