He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Sweet and Mabel Sweet (Worden); his son Ivan Sweet; his brothers, Raymond Sweet and Michael'Whipper Sweet'Worden; and his niece Michѐle Sweet.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Sweet (Tobin); his son Sean Sweet (Vanessa); his siblings, Irene Laviolette (John), David Sweet (Linda) and Jessie O'Brien (Danny); and his sister-in-law Florence Sweet. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations in Herbert's memory can be made to ALS Society (New Brunswick & Nova Scotia Branch), Parkinson Canada or a charity of the donor's choice.
