He was predeceased by : his stepfather Ken. He is survived by : his parents, Hugh McLaughlin and Debra Craig (Marceau); his wife Kate McLaughlin (Gibson); his children, Jonas, Caroline, Alex and Charlie; his sisters, Cleo McLaughlin (Ian), Melanie Reynolds (Jeff) and Ashley Mclaughlin; his nieces and nephews, Jena, Austin, Xavier, Thomas and Asher; and his in-laws, Judy, David Gibson, Michael Gibson and Elizabeth Gibson. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, several cousins and so many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fundy Funeral Home (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
